  • falls way short of a perfect camera
got this camera just few days back and find it to be good except that it is lacking in few of the specs… the body no doubt is excellent and awesome, but then the lack of features like image stabilisation, slow shutter speed and lack of panorama mode makes the camera a bit lacking… all in all it is a good product but if you are a professional you will find it lacking and falls way short of a perfect camera.
  • Appreciable
Nikon’s magnesium alloy based body is perfectly engineered to offer perfect handling… the camera’s ability to accommodate NIKON lenses is one of the plus point. The image processing engine of the camera along with Nikon’s active D-lighting feature works wonder when it comes to shooting photos under high contrast situations. The camera offers a continuous shooting up to 6 frames per second and it does really works when you shoot some moving objects… well last but not the least I liked the way it takes crystal clear picture even at low lights.
  • seems that the Nikon lost the plot
I am a loyal customer of Nikon and have never lost faith on the products offered by it…. but I am not that happy with this camera…this is one of the hasty buying decision that I have made …. Without looking too much into the specs and now I am regretting a bit buying the product…. Nonetheless it is a good one for the beginners and those people who want to upgrade themselves from the point and shoot digital camera to the more sophisticated DSLRs. The built is good and the features are also amazing … but the things that I found lacking in it are –
the camera does not comes with image stabilisation which many people look for.. Nikon could have added this feature to its camera..
The slow shutter speed is another thing that makes the camera a bit dull
Nikon has also done a mistake by not adding panorama mode..
At this price Nikon could have easily added few of this important feature making it just irresistible to the customers.. however seems that the Nikon lost the plot. Buy it only if you are a beginner in professional photography.
  • found it to be great…
I followed at the footsteps of my friend and got myself this DSLR after using nikon’s d3100 for 5 long years… well as I am well verse with the nikon’s menu I needed to buy one Nikon camera and I choose this one….found it to be great… the camera works great in low light with the option of adjusting ISO level from 100 to 6400… while shooting with high ISO, the picture shot by the camera does not comes with grain effect or high noise effect… more clarity and crisp image is what you get evben during mnight and dark conditions. This DSLR body perfectly suits NIKKOR lenses of various type.. this gives me freedom to select my own type of lenses.. the 170 degree swivelling LCD also allows to take pictures at any angle without much trouble… this is one feature I found to be quite handy and amazing.. The magnesium alloy body that comes with secure sealing as advertised by Nikon is tough enough too.. well I will give this shooting star a high five…
