  • Not happy at all!
I bought this camera after careful thoughts as I did not have enough funds to buy a costlier camera. I am a fan of Nikon, so after reading enough reviews I went ahead and bought this Nikon DSLR D5300, which turned out to be a disappointment. There is no weather sealing, no built-in focus motor and no external headphone jack among many other disadvantages. The AA-filterless sensor makes the camera more prone to strange looking wavy pattern with lines, dots, etc. When the Wi-Fi or GPS is on, the battery drains very fast and the settings controls are time consuming. I rate this Nikon DSLR D5300 Body just 1.5 stars as the camera is just plain disappointing.
  • Not happy Nikon Customer!
The Nikon DSLR D5300 Body does not quite stand out from any other cameras except the price tag and the additional GPS technology, though the GPS receiver is not that sensitive. I bought this camera few weeks back and I am not a happy customer of Nikon that much I can say. The camera is a setback from Nikon as we cannot change aperture in Live View mode. The Live View is also not as good as some competitors. There is no built in focus motor as well and the burst speed slows down with high quality 14-bit RAW images. The AA-filterless sensor exposed the camera and makes it more prone to moire pattern. The camera comes without external headphone jack which is a disadvantage while recording videos. The battery life drains fast when Wi-Fi or GPS is on. The control buttons are limited as there is only one function button to change various settings, which is sometimes time consuming. There is also no weather sealing so we have to take plenty care about where and when we carry this camera. Would not recommend much to anyone, because if you have enough fund you can try costlier cameras like the D7100 or D610. I rate just 2 stars as there are lots of features needed to be improved.
  • High performance Camera
Recently bought this awesome Nikon DSLR D5300 Body in a reasonable price considering the excellent performance it offers. The camera delivers quite excellent picture and video recording quality. The shutter speed is fast and noiseless, while the TFT LCD screen display delivers high resolution images and videos. The battery life is quite decent as I can use it the whole day. Interesting features are the built in Wi-Fi with GPS technology, which records the location of the data and allows the camera to be remotely controlled through a smartphone. I recommend this awesome camera to everyone looking for a high performance camera.
  • Best mid-range DSLR from Nikon
Bought this awesome Nikon DSLR D5300 Body few weeks back and I couldn’t be more happier with myself for buying it. The 24.1 camera megapixels delivers high quality pictures similar to more expensive DSLRs. The video recording is in excellent full HD quality. The continuous speed shots are quite fast and noiseless with its 3 fps capability and the EXPEED 4 processing engine delivers high quality pictures and video resolution even in low lit conditions. The camera comes with built in Wi-Fi for transferring pictures and videos to a smartphone or tablets and it can also be remotely controlled. The added feature is the GPS function which can records the location of the data. The sensor type is CMOS with no optical low-pass filter providing a superior image quality. The TFT LCD display screen is large enough with 3.2 inches and it allows viewfinder and Eye-level Pentamirror single-lens Reflex Viewfinder. This camera has suited my requirements well and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent camera for casual photography or for doing any serious photography works.
