  • Primitive processor, latest design
“Wow, a successor of Lenovo yoga tablet PC at such low cost,” this sentence lost its meaning when I opened the box and got my hands on the Lenovo Flex 10 59-430551 laptop with Intel Celeron dual core processor and 500 GB memory with a foldable design and touchscreen. The good things seem to end with these specifications here. Sore in the eye plastic case feels a little hard and crude, and always reminds me to take care or else its gonna break.

Receiving many applauds from the entry level PC reviewers, the laptop sure received some attention, but it all fades away when you start using it. The 2 GB RAM and Intel Celeron processor churn out a decent processing and performance, but even phones come with better specifications nowadays. The battery might pose a problem to prolonged users as it is not long lasting enough for a device with such low power consumption, and is built-in! It might give you tough time getting it replaced, when it gives way and drops dead after the warranty period.

The web cam is just for filling the space and acting as a mirror when you can't find one. The Skype experience was horrible and the screen went dark, even in good lighting conditions. One good thing about this laptop PC is that it features so many ports, a USB 3.0 port, HDMI port in full size, which means no requirement of micro adaptors. Absence of the SD card reader might be a problem, as carrying an extra card reader everywhere is tiresome. Still, it does not cost too much to buy a USB card reader and the free Microsoft office 2013 might inspire some people to buy this machine. Enjoy the ability to switch from desktop to tablet mode, lightweight and small form factor while others are working profusely on their efficient Intel Core I-series systems.

  • Compact and stylish
Heading out to buy a new laptop, I went online to know more about what I am getting into. After spending more than an hour, I was baffled by so many options and turned to the expert opinions of my tech savvy friend. He advised me to go for a Lenovo laptop. The Lenovo Flex 10 laptop turned out to be my choice in the end, due to its sleek and flexible design, touchscreen and the Intel dual core processor.

For my basic computing needs and a few media, games, the Celeron Dual Core 1st Gen processor does the trick. I loved the lightweight design and the folding 2 in 1 touchscreen. The touchscreen helps me make the maximum of the pre-installed Windows 8.1, which I was pretty excited to use. Another cool feature of this system is a Fanless design, which means only the hard drive produces noise.

Other features that made me buy this laptop were a USB 3.0 port for faster data transfer to and fro portable hard drives and flash drives. The only disappointment was its speakers, but since I like my music loud and with extra bass, I prefer sub-woofer units than pc speakers. The power backup of this system is impressive for an entry level touchscreen laptop, although I would keep it in netbook niche, owing to its screen size and specifications.

I went for this laptop as I knew my requirements were limited and there was no point spending big on mere specifications. As soon as I leave my regular work on the desktop mode, I kick back the keyboard and get into the touchscreen mode for some fun time. Games and entertainment apps run smoothly and I haven't faced any problems with my computer so far, so, fingers crossed.
  • Touchscreen at this price range, unbelievable!
Every Windows 8 user wishes his laptop could do this. The Lenovo Flex 10 laptop is affordable and can be used as a tablet PC on stand. At this price range, the laptop offers so much with its touchscreen and 500 GB storage space. The overall performance of this laptop is decent and the battery serves you for long. I was excited to get my hands on this compact machine based on latest Baytrail-M entry-level PC platform. I am satisfied with my laptop PC and would surely recommend to all those who are searching for an entry level machine with good build quality for everyday computing.
