Not up to my expectation
I bought this Canon Digital SLR 70D to assist in my work, since I am a fervent fan of Canon but sadly it does not live up to my expectation. The camera is too costly for the result it offers. It comes without face detection and red eye reduction technology without any focal length. Buying a focal length cost more money, so why choose this when you can get better cheaper cameras from different brand. I had already bought it and now I am regretting the decision of choosing Canon instead of Panasonic or Nikon. The Wi-Fi included in the camera is complex, and when the Wi-Fi is in used, we cannot do any video shooting.
Perfect for Semi-professionals photographers
Canon DSLR 70D, wow, what a high performing camera! I have been using this camera from Canon for about a month now and I am very pleased with the performance. The Camera delivers high quality pictures and HD video recording with the TFT LCD Touchscreen. The WiFi feature helps me a lot as I am a small time movie maker and semi-pro photographer in need of quick transferring of files to my PC. The Phase detection feature is awesome as I don’t need to manually adjust the lens while shooting a video, the auto focus phase detection does the job. It is a load of my back as now there is no risk of shooting an unclear pictures even when I shoot the picture of a running vehicle. The Canon DSLR 70D is more than I could have ever imagined.
Not for Pro photographers
Canon should have listed the Pros and Cons clearly with the specs instead of writing and advertising just the pros of a product. I bought this Canon DSLR 70D last week after paying a huge sum of 70k but I am not satisfied with the result it delivers. To begin with, turning on Wi-Fi was quite difficult, as I had to go through various settings tab and wasted so many precious seconds just to set up the camera’s wireless utility. The app setup is confusing and tiresome, they could just have provided a single button to turn on the Wi-Fi. Most importantly, when the Wi-fi is on, we cannot shoot any video or even use its USB connections. The camera also lacks face detection and red eye deduction technology. The built-in stereo mics are also less impressive as it captures every stray bit of sound. It also lacks a video-out port for monitoring audio levels as we record. The lack of a headphone socket undermines the usefulness of the microphone output. Comparing with other cameras from brands like Panasonic, which I briefly used for a while, the details in the 70D’s video cannot resolve fine details and it is a bit dull. At its best, it is for the beginners or semi-pro photographers but not for pros like me. I rate 2 stars and would not recommend to any professionals’ shutterbugs.
Best Digital SLR Camera Ever!
I am a fan of Canon, so regardless of the loaded features of other cameras like Nikon, Panasonic, etc., I went ahead and bought this camera and I could not be more than happy with the result this high performance camera offers. This camera is built like the EOS 60D but the result it delivers is nothing like EOS 60D. It comes with WiFi feature to send your pictures captured to your PCs directly without USB connections. The resolution of 20.1 megapixels provides a high quality pictures even in low lit conditions. It excels in live view photography and video recording as well. The 7 fps that comes with the camera ensures continuous uninterrupted quality pictures. The screen is a touchscreen made from TFT LCD screen with a display size of 7.62 cm. The shutter speed is excellent and there is also a ‘silent shutter mode’ to mute the sound of the shutter in action. One interesting feature of this camera is the Auto focus with phase-difference detection. The Phase-detection locks on an object an auto adjust the lens for a clearer resolution while shooting a video. The battery life is decent as we can shoot about 900 pictures with half the pictures taken with flash. I rate this awesome camera 5 stars and recommends it to any semi-professional photographers in need of a camera to complement your level of expertise.
